Consultation

A consultation should start with the problem, not the product.

Tell us what’s happening and what you’re trying to accomplish. You don’t need to know whether the answer is a repair, a project, better security, new hardware, or ongoing support. We’ll figure out what actually makes sense.

What we’ll figure out together

A consultation is not a sales ambush disguised as a conversation. The point is to understand the environment, narrow down what matters, and identify the cleanest reasonable next step.

01

What’s happening now

We look at the current problem or environment: devices, accounts, Microsoft 365, Wi-Fi, networks, printers, security, software, backups, or whatever is currently making life harder than it needs to be.

02

What you need to accomplish

Maybe you need one issue fixed. Maybe you are planning a move, replacing equipment, adding staff, tightening security, or just trying to stop the same problem from returning every few weeks.

03

What makes sense next

The answer may be a one-time service call, a defined project, or an ongoing support Foundation. The recommendation should fit the situation instead of forcing the situation to fit a product.

What to expect

Simple on purpose. No ritual sacrifice to the gods of enterprise consulting required.

1
Tell us what’s going on.
Give us the useful context: what is broken, what is frustrating you, what changed, or what you are trying to build.

2
We ask the questions that matter.
We narrow the problem down, understand the environment, and identify any dependencies or risks before recommending a direction.

3
You get a practical next step.
That may mean a quick fix, a project, replacement hardware, a security improvement, or ongoing support. If the simpler answer is the better answer, that is the one we will give you.

Specific work tells the story better than generic promises.

★★★★★

“When I was building out my VFX pipeline and juggling remote collaborators, Sam at Sandbox IT played an essential part in getting us off the ground. He set up our source control, built a secure VPN for our remote team, and solved a lot of headaches with multi-user editing. On top of that, he established a reliable RAID 5 backup solution on our server and even helped source and configure the hardware we were running on.

Thanks to Sandbox IT, we were able to keep production running smoothly and securely at a time when I thought I could do it all myself. Sam’s the kind of guy who not only knows the tech but also makes it easy to follow, and when it comes time to fix something, he gets it done. If you’re running a creative studio, game project, or any business that needs solid IT infrastructure, I can’t recommend Sandbox IT highly enough. Sam is reliable, resourceful, and someone you can trust to set you up for success.”
