No Meddling
I came across Sam and Sandbox IT indirectly through a mutual friend. I had been looking for remote IT help for a while to help with troubleshooting system problems when they occur. I run a busy construction business, and I don’t have time for self-troubleshooting or the unlikeable confusion and frustration when these issues occur. I need to keep things flowing.
Sam set me up with a secure security system and monthly maintenance. I can’t say enough good things about Sam and Sandbox IT. He saved my sanity.
My laptop was infected with a really insidious virus/malware that wreaked havoc by attempting to make fraudulent purchases, then deleting, moving, or redirecting email to cover the activity. It also sent continued phishing emails related to the fraudulent purchases (such as non-existent delivery notices) designed to make me open the account(s) so it could gain entry again.
The fix was not merely to change passwords, reboot, or anything straightforward. Sam was very patient and diligent in drilling down to find the nasty bug and removing it along with any residual threats. And he explained the situation simply but intelligently, so I actually understood without feeling stupid or having my eyes roll back in my head.
